New allegations of sexual harassment have been made against Spanish opera singer Placido Domingo. This is reported by Reuters. According to reports, this was done by the singer, whose identity is not disclosed.

During a television program on the La Sexta TV channel last Sunday, January 15, the alleged victim said that in one case Domingo tried to kiss her, and in another, he asked permission to put his hands in the back pockets of her trousers. The woman claims that she did not inform anyone about these incidents that took place in the early 2000s.

In 2020, more than three dozen singers, dancers, and vocal teachers said they had been victims of inappropriate behavior by Placido Domingo for three decades. The 81-year-old opera singer himself denies all the accusations against him. No criminal cases were opened on the charges presented.

In August 2022, the Spanish newspaper El Pais reported that Placido Domingo was suspected of using the services of a sect that had been sexually exploiting people in Argentina for more than 30 years. According to the publication, at the disposal of law enforcement officers was a recording of conversations involving, presumably, the tenor himself and the leader of the sect.

According to the sources of the publication, Domingo has not been charged yet. The investigation will have to study a “huge amount” of paper and digital documentation.
