The husband of American pop star Britney Spears Sam Asghari denied reports that the singer had a mental breakdown in a restaurant. This is reported on Page Six.
“Don’t believe what you read on the Internet,” Asghari wrote on a social network in defense of his wife.
The post appeared after reports that the singer “caused a scene” during a dinner in California, USA, on Friday evening, January 13.
However, the video, which was published by TMZ, contradicts the testimony of eyewitnesses, the newspaper writes. In the footage, Spears covers her face with a menu, while another visitor shoots her on a mobile phone in the middle of the establishment. Also, the recording does not show whether Spears speaks incoherently or that her husband is leaving the facility “in a fit of rage.”
The manager of the restaurant told Page Six that they could not disclose any information about the visit of the famous couple, however, one of the employees told the publication that the violator was not the singer, but a visitor who taunted her by taking a video without consent. Sam Asghari left briefly to get their car, but he did not storm out.
Spears herself shared that she was a little drunk at the time of the incident.
Britney Spears married Sam Asghari in June 2022. It is known that they have been in a relationship since 2016. Spears and Asghari decided to make the ceremony private, inviting only the closest friends.
