The star of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie franchise, Johnny Depp, in Virginia District Court denied accusations of domestic violence from his ex-wife, Amber Heard. His words are quoted by Reuters.

Johnny Depp spoke for about three hours, calling the actress’ claims disgusting. “I never got to the point of hitting Ms. Herd in any way, and I’ve never hit any woman in my life,” Depp clarified.

According to Depp, he not only protects himself but also his children. “It’s very strange: now you’re Cinderella, so to speak, and in half a second Quasimodo,” the artist shared his experiences.

Depp wants to sue Heard for $50 million, claiming she allegedly lied about physical abuse on his part. In a countersuit for defamation, Heard wants to recover $100 million from Depp.

Depp and Heard met while filming “Rum Diary” in 2011 and married four years later. Heard accused Depp of domestic violence after she filed for divorce in 2016. After a series of lawsuits, many studios refused to cooperate with the actor – he was notably replaced by Mads Mikkelsen in the third film of the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
