Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, along with their children, have been offered a royal residence during their rare visit to the United Kingdom next month, though without additional security. The couple has not yet responded. This is reported by the Daily Mail.
Reporters also learned that Prince Harry had previously been offered the opportunity to stay at Buckingham Palace during the visit. However, the Prince declined at the time, citing that it was “not secure enough.”
Instead, he could have been invited to other royal residences, such as St. James’s Palace, Windsor, or Sandringham.
At the same time, the palace’s position on this matter remains unchanged: all security-related issues must be handled by the Ministry of the Interior.
The publication reports that King Charles III plays no role—and has never played any role—in arranging additional security measures for his youngest son’s visit.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment on reports that the Duke of Sussex plans to bring his wife, Meghan, and their children—seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet—to the UK in July for the first time in four years.
Their visit coincides with the start of the countdown to the “Invictus Games” in Birmingham.
Will Prince Harry and King Charles Meet?
Recently, Page Six reported that, in light of Prince Harry’s possible visit to the UK with his family, it remains unclear whether he will be able to see his father. The Daily Mail has confirmed this information.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the possibility of a meeting between father and son, stating that it would not discuss private family matters.

As a reminder, American actress Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the youngest son of King Charles III and Princess Diana, were married in 2018. A year later, they had a son, and two years after that, a daughter.
In 2020, the couple stepped down from their royal duties, left the United Kingdom, and settled in the United States.
Since then, their relationship with their relatives has noticeably cooled. It all began with the scandalous interview the Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave to Oprah Winfrey in 2021.

Harry exacerbated the rift with his memoir, in which he admitted that he had always felt like a “Spare.”
Also, the streaming service Netflix released a documentary series about Britain’s Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, in which the couple revealed even more scandalous details about life at court.
