American businessman and Tesla and SpaceX owner Elon Musk donated over $44 million to Republican candidate Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in October, Politico reported, citing a report from the U.S. Federal Election Commission (FEC).
“Elon Musk invested an additional $43.6 million into his political action super-committee supporting Donald Trump, according to new campaign finance documents,” the publication notes.
Additionally, the businessman spent $10 million on Senate Republicans’ primary super PAC in early October.
According to FEC statistics, Musk has become one of the largest political donors in the U.S. this year. He has donated over $118 million to support Trump.
The U.S. presidential election will take place on November 5. Musk has repeatedly voiced support for Trump on social media. Specifically, he warned that the U.S. will lose true elections if the Republican candidate loses and cannot become the next president.
