The tabloid TMZ has confirmed that 28-year-olds Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged. According to the publication, Tom proposed to his beloved sometime between Catholic Christmas and New Year’s.
TMZ reports that Holland asked Zendaya’s father, for her hand in marriage “months ago.” As sources explained, Tom is very traditional and believed this was the proper way to proceed. Since then, he had been waiting for the “right moment.”
It is noted that Holland chose not to make a spectacle out of the engagement — the proposal took place in an intimate setting, without any witnesses.
Zendaya, as Page Six reports, citing its sources, was stunned: ‘Tom and Zendaya have been talking about marriage for years, but she had no idea he was planning to propose. Their families are thrilled. Zendaya’s mother and sisters can’t wait for the preparations to begin.'”
The Hollywood stars haven’t started planning their wedding yet, as they’re still too busy with work.
