While in New York for charity events, Prince Harry was spotted at the famous tattoo parlor on the Lower East Side. According to The Daily Mail, the Duke of Sussex visited East Side Ink on September 25th at around 1 PM and spent about an hour there.
What exactly happened inside the parlor remains a mystery. Whether Harry got a tattoo or was simply consulting about one is unclear. The salon staff is keeping quiet about the Prince’s visit.
East Side Ink is one of the oldest tattoo parlors in New York, having opened in 1992 when tattooing was still illegal in the city. The establishment owner commented on the visit: “We respect every client’s privacy and do not disclose information without their consent.” He also noted that choosing a tattoo is a very personal decision, and everything that happens within the salon walls remains private.
Prince Harry arrived at the salon in a black SUV, accompanied by security. The owner also mentioned that the Duke left the parlor shortly after 2 PM. Tattoo prices at East Side Ink can reach up to $350 per hour of work.
The salon is known for its popularity among celebrities — stars such as Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, and Jeremy Renner have all gotten tattoos there.
Harry’s visit to New York was related to his involvement in charity projects and supporting organizations such as African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst. This tour is part of his trip to New York and the UK, during which he is traveling alone, without his wife Meghan Markle, and their two children — five-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet.
