“It wasn’t a reckless statement towards women. It wasn’t an indication that I don’t respect other people’s work or that I don’t think anyone works as hard as they should. I know that everyone does a lot of things. That was taken out of context. I’m really sorry if it was taken that way,” Kardashian explained. She also noted that she herself is still considered “famous for being famous,” even though she’s been in show business for 20 years.
Kim Kardashian was trying to convey the message that it takes more than being on a reality show to start a successful career. And it really is “hard work” to prove one’s worth and relevance.
