40-year-old singer Katy Perry regrets her behavior during her space flight as part of Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin crew.
“Katy doesn’t regret going to space. It was a life-changing experience for her. She truly regrets turning it into a public spectacle,” a source told Daily Mail.
The insider also noted that Katy regrets kissing the ground after landing: “She’s also embarrassed by her behavior inside the capsule—holding a daisy up to the camera, promoting the setlist of her upcoming tour, and singing What a Wonderful World while floating in zero gravity.
She would have preferred that no video footage had been recorded inside the capsule at all. Furthermore, she now believes that showing Daisy to the world was a poor decision.”
Earlier, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom revealed the face of their four-year-old daughter, Daisy, for the first time. The child watched her mother’s spaceflight together with her father.
On April 14, the Blue Origin spacecraft, owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, launched into space with an all-female crew. They spent approximately six minutes in suborbital space before the capsule made a successful return to Earth.
The flight sparked widespread criticism online, both from celebrities and the general public. Many dubbed it “the most expensive bachelorette party in history,” as each minute of the flight reportedly cost $1 million.
Additionally, Perry’s conduct during the mission became the subject of ridicule; the moment when she kissed the ground upon landing quickly went viral and became a meme.
