The girlfriend of Amazon founder and the head of The Washington Post Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sanchez, spoke about her relationship with the billionaire in her first solo interview with The Wall Street Journal.
“Living with Jeff Bezos means taking master classes every day,” Lauren Sanchez shared.
According to Sanchez, Bezos helps her with her work.
“What he really taught me was management. I do a lot of meetings, and I used to always speak at them first. One day he said to me, ‘No, no, and again no. You’re the boss. You speak last. Let everyone else speak first, so your opinion doesn’t affect what they say,” she recalled one of his pieces of advice.
Lauren noted that Jeff also advised her not to hold meetings lasting more than an hour and to ask an assistant to take notes during the meeting.
“I do not know how he does it. He can read documents for hours,” she added.
“We like being together. We travel together. We work together. Furthermore, we are together all the time,” Sanchez summed up.
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have been dating since 2019. At the time of the beginning of the novel, both were in official marriages, but soon they filed for divorce almost simultaneously and stopped hiding their relationship.
