Virginia Giuffre — the most well-known victim of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and the first to accuse Prince Andrew of sexual assault — has died by suicide, aged 41, the Guardian reports.
The body of Virginia Giuffre was found on her farm in Western Australia. It is noted that the Virginia family announced her suicide. They also shared why the 41-year-old woman took such a desperate step.
“She took her own life after spending her entire life as a victim of sexual abuse and human trafficking,” Giuffre’s relatives said.
It is worth mentioning that in early April, Virginia Giuffre posted on her Instagram page that she had only four days left to live. Shortly before that, she had been involved in a car accident that caused numerous injuries.
She stated that she was suffering from kidney failure and that doctors had transferred her to a specialized urology hospital.
In the same post, Giuffre thanked the people who had stood by her side and supported her throughout.
Virginia Giuffre had previously accused Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell of trafficking her to wealthy and powerful men when she was only 17 years old. Among these men, according to her, was Prince Andrew, the son of Queen Elizabeth II.
In 2021, Virginia filed a lawsuit claiming that the Prince forced her to have sex with him against her will on three occasions between 1999 and 2000. Giuffre alleged that this happened on Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean, in New York, and even in London.
Meanwhile, Prince Andrew gave an interview to the BBC in 2019 in which he denied the allegations and claimed he did not even know Giuffre.
Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of trafficking minors for sexual exploitation.
