At an event in honor of Samuel L. Jackson held in New York, Denzel Washington initially appeared friendly, posing for photos near the gallery. However, his mood shifted when someone in the crowd seemed “to cross a line”, according to Page Six.

In a video by TMZ, the 69-year-old Oscar winner is seen approaching a group of men, demanding more respect and patience. “I told you I’d come to you later. What exactly didn’t you understand?” he said, raising his voice to be heard over the city noise that made it hard to communicate.

Even after his words, some fans continued to argue, prompting Washington to take a firmer tone. He wrapped up the exchange by saying they could get what they wanted if they changed their behavior. The actor’s representatives have not yet commented on the incident.

This episode was an unusual exception for Denzel Washington, known for his calm demeanor. However, he has always been intolerant of disrespect.

To illustrate, there was an incident in 2003 where the actor got into a screaming match with rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. According to a source, Washington stated at the time, “You don’t respect anyone,” and left the party with his wife after the unpleasant scene.

Now, two decades later, Combs faces serious allegations of human trafficking, pandering, and racketeering. The charges claim that at his notorious “Freak Off” parties, staged sex shows with elements of violence and drugs took place.

Sources note that attendees at such parties knew when it was best to leave, so as not to witness the events that unfolded in the early hours.

Combs denies involvement in these crimes and is scheduled to face trial in May.
