The news of 42-year-old Kourtney Kardashian and her boyfriend, 46-year-old Blink 192 drummer Travis Barker’s surprise overnight wedding in Las Vegas, right after the Grammy ceremony, became a real sensation. Everything seemed romantic: the chapel was called One Love Wedding, the couple was dressed as Elvis Presley, and his music was played during the ceremony. However, fans immediately suspected that Courtney got married “not for real”. And they were right. And this has been confirmed by the bride herself. It was reported in the edition of Life and Style.
Courtney described the ceremony on her social media page like this:
“Once upon a time in a far, far away kingdom (Las Vegas) at 2 a.m. after an epic night and some tequila, the queen and her beautiful king ventured to get married (illegally) in the only open chapel, in the presence of Elvis.”
That said, Kim’s sister admitted that she was true, as previously reported, severely sober at the time of the wedding – so much so that she was barely on her feet. Eyewitnesses, including the owner of the chapel, confirmed that the bride was noticeably “tipsy” at the time of the wedding, she was dancing and kissing her sweetheart. Nevertheless, Courtney still decided to please her fans with a photo report taken during the event.
It seems that the whole idea of this wedding was pure improvisation. None of the family and friends knew about the lovers’ plan. The fact that the ceremony wasn’t planned in advance is evidenced by the fact that Courtney and Travis didn’t bother to draw up or sign a prenup. This seems pretty risky since they both have a lot to lose. Both he and she have a very sizable fortune. She’s worth an estimated $65 million, while Travis is worth $50 million.
