British supermodel Georgina Cooper has passed away while on vacation on the Greek island of Kos, where she was staying with her husband. Health issues are cited as the cause of death for Kate Moss’s friend, according to the Daily Mail.
The 46-year-old supermodel got married a few months ago. Georgina, who adored Greece, went with her husband to the island of Kos for a vacation. However, their honeymoon did not go as planned. On October 21, the runway star was hospitalized from her hotel just one day before their planned return home.
Doctors decided to transfer Cooper to the island of Crete, as her condition was assessed as severe. Georgina spent several days in intensive care, where she eventually passed away. Her body was transported back to the United Kingdom.
An insider from the Daily Mail explained that Cooper experienced health complications following a previous case of COVID-19. She had fallen ill long before the trip, but no one could have imagined this journey would be her last.
“She had plans for the future. She had just gotten married and was dreaming of moving forward,” noted her former agent, Dean Goodman.
Georgina Cooper began her modeling career at the age of 13. She participated in fashion shows for global designers, and her signature tooth gap was particularly beloved by the fashion community.
