Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has found herself at the center of media attention following reports that key Hollywood figures no longer take her calls personally, according to The Daily Express.

According to sources, these developments suggest a decline in her status within the entertainment industry, which has sharply diminished after a series of setbacks.

After stepping down from the British Royal Family in 2020, Markle focused on various projects that have attracted significant attention in Hollywood.

One of the earliest signs was the failure of her podcast Archetypes, which was canceled after just 12 episodes. Another setback came with her cooking show for Netflix, which, despite being filmed last summer, never aired.

Simultaneously, her new brand, American Riviera Orchard, which was slated to launch alongside the show, has been stalled due to bureaucratic hurdles in trademark registration.

Tom Sykes, the European editor of The Daily Beast, noted that Hollywood has “turned its back” on Meghan Markle. He reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex faced a wave of ridicule over their new Netflix polo show, and rumors are circulating among influential individuals who once admired Meghan about a reluctance to maintain personal ties with her.

This sentiment was echoed by journalist Paula Froelich, who told The Times: “When you’re not delivering real revenue, your relevance fades quickly. In Los Angeles, people roll their eyes when they hear about them.”

It seems Meghan Markle is confronting the harsh reality of an industry where success is measured by popularity and tangible results.
