Renowned Indian businessman and chairman of Sona Comstar, Sunjay Kapur, tragically passed away in the United Kingdom at the age of 53 due to a sudden heart attack while playing polo, according to The Mirror.
According to journalists, the 53-year-old billionaire lost consciousness on the field after allegedly swallowing a bee. Sources report that the insect may have stung Kapur inside his mouth during the game, which triggered an anaphylactic shock and cardiac arrest.
According to The Mirror, Sunjay Kapur was well known for his love of polo and high-society lifestyle. He was personally acquainted with Prince William.
Just a few hours before the tragedy, the businessman had posted condolences regarding a plane crash in India, expressing support for the families of the victims.
Kapur also drew public attention due to his relationships. He was previously married to Bollywood star Karisma Kapoor. The marriage ended in scandal — the actress accused him of abuse and claimed that he once left her alone with a sick infant to play polo with Prince William.
