54-year-old Melania Trump plans to return to the White House on January 20, after her husband, President-elect Donald Trump, takes the oath of office. Reported by the Daily Mail.
She expects this move to be much smoother, partly because she no longer needs to rely on assistance from predecessors regarding matters related to the White House and the transition process. According to Melania, Barack and Michelle Obama previously refused to provide them with the necessary information.
“The first time was challenging—we had almost no data. But now I have everything I need… This time will be different,” Melania Trump said on FOX & Friends, during a conversation with host Ainsley Earhardt.
Melania also shared that she has already completed preparations for her return to the White House: belongings are packed, and furniture has been chosen. She did not elaborate on her farewell meeting with Joe and Jill Biden but noted that the 46th President of the United States will have about five hours to vacate the residence on January 20.
Melania emphasized that the entire process must be “timed to the minute.” She also mentioned plans to make changes to the White House decor, making it “a little different” compared to what she selected during the first term. While expressing excitement about the return, she assured that family remains her top priority.
“I will be at the White House, but when I need to be in New York—I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach—I will be in Palm Beach. But my main role is to be a mother, First Lady, and wife. Melania added that the Trumps, like all Americans, are looking forward to “four exciting years.”
“We have a lot of work to do to get the country in order,” Donald Trump’s wife emphasized.
It’s worth noting that on January 20, Donald Trump will once again take the presidential oath of office, marking one of the most remarkable political comebacks in U.S. history. Details of the inauguration, including the list of participants and performers, are already known. Michelle Obama will not be attending the ceremony.
However, it appears that Barack Obama does not harbor animosity toward his political opponent Donald Trump. At Jimmy Carter’s farewell ceremony, they sat next to each other and engaged in a friendly conversation.
