A pre-wedding party for Amazon owner Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez took place in Venice. The bride arrived at the celebration in an impossibly cinched couture look from Schiaparelli.
Among the guests were the Kardashian-Jenner family, Leonardo DiCaprio with his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, the U.S. president’s daughter Ivanka Trump with her husband Jared Kushner, his brother Joshua Kushner with his pregnant wife Karlie Kloss, Orlando Bloom—currently in the process of divorcing Katy Perry—Oprah Winfrey, singer Usher with his wife, Bill Gates, Queen Rania of Jordan, and many others. Celebrities arrived at the gala event, which has already been dubbed the “wedding of the century” in couture outfits.
For 61-year-old Bezos—one of the wealthiest people in the world—this will be his second marriage. His fiancée, journalist Lauren Sanchez, is 55 and was previously married, with three children from her former relationship. The wedding was initially planned to take place in a 16th-century building in the center of Venice. Still, due to protests from residents and security concerns, the event was moved to the historic Arsenale complex, according to CBS News.
Approximately 250 guests are expected to attend the wedding, including celebrities from the entertainment industry, politicians, and close friends of the couple. The three-day celebration is estimated to cost around $50 million. Sánchez is reportedly planning to wear 27 different outfits, all prepared for her by fashion house Dolce & Gabbana. For the cake, organizers hired the famous French pastry chef Cédric Grolet.
