A recent survey has shed light on the prevailing sentiment among British citizens regarding Prince Harry’s potential return to royal duties. Despite speculation surrounding Royal Family health issues, public opinion remains steadfast, with 40% of surveyed Britons against Prince Harry’s temporary return to royal duties, while 39% oppose the proposal permanently. This is reported by The Daily Mail.

Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to the United States, reports have surfaced suggesting the Duke’s contemplation of resuming royal responsibilities.

Speculation heightened amid King Charles’s health concerns and Princess Kate’s recovery from surgery. However, the latest Ipsos poll, conducted from February 29 to March 3, reveals a clear divide in public sentiment.

According to the survey, only a quarter of participants support Prince Harry’s temporary return, with even fewer advocating for a permanent reinstatement, standing at 26 percent and 25 percent, respectively. Interestingly, a significant portion of respondents, totaling 29 percent, remain neutral on the matter, neither opposing nor supporting the Duke’s potential comeback.

Furthermore, the poll sheds light on broader perceptions regarding the unity within the Royal Family. Nearly half of Britons perceive the Royals as “very divided” or “fairly divided,” with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle predominantly held responsible for the apparent schism.

Conversely, a quarter of respondents view the Royal Family as fairly or very united, while 18 percent remain indifferent to the issue.

Responding to the question about disagreements within the Royal Family, respondents mostly pointed to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, attributing 41 percent of the blame to each of them for the rift.

These findings coincide with a prior survey identifying Princess of Wales as the most favored royal in the UK, while the popularity of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle experienced a decline.

As a reminder, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the USA in 2020, intending to build a new life. However, over the past years, numerous accusations and sharp statements from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex towards members of the Royal Family have sparked sharp criticism from the public, resulting in a decline in the couple’s popularity both in the USA and in the United Kingdom.
