43-year-old Anna Kournikova, mother of Enrique Iglesias’ three children, has seriously worried fans. Paparazzi photos recently surfaced in the media, revealing that the former tennis player cannot move independently.
Photographers captured Anna in a wheelchair. Years ago, at 21, she had to retire from sports due to injuries. But what happened to her now?
The photos were published in Hello! It was taken recently in Miami while Anna was shopping at the Bal Harbour shopping center.
Anna, dressed in a black tracksuit, was seen in a wheelchair pushed by her girlfriend. She also wore a bulky orthopedic boot on one foot.
Iglesias’ followers concluded that this suggests Anna had suffered some mysterious injury.
In addition to Anna and her girlfriend, photographers also managed to capture her two daughters with Enrique—seven-year-old Lucy and four-year-old Mary. However, Lucy’s twin brother, Nicholas, was not in the frame. Neither was 49-year-old Iglesias himself, whose marital status remains uncertain despite living with Anna for nearly 25 years.
As is well known, their romance began back in 2001 after they met on the set of Iglesias’ Escape music video.
As we have previously reported, Enrique stated in past interviews that he saw no need to marry Anna. He once said that he considered a marriage certificate to be just “a piece of paper that wouldn’t change anything” in his relationship with Kournikova.
However, he has repeatedly referred to Anna as his wife in public. In a 2023 interview, Enrique’s brother, Julio Iglesias Jr., claimed that Enrique had indeed married Anna, but the wedding was secret and very modest.
