In a recently resurfaced interview, Jennifer Aniston, 55, denied rumors of an affair with former U.S. President Barack Obama, 63, calling them “absolutely untrue.”

Speculation about a connection between the “Friends” star and the married politician continues to circulate amid rumors of a potential divorce between the Obamas and Michelle, 61. Interest in Aniston’s interview spiked after Michelle was absent from both Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration, which Barack attended alone.

On the October episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, host Jimmy Kimmel, 57, showed the actress a gossip magazine. Pointing to the publication, Aniston said, “Sometimes you get calls from your publicist, and you think, ‘Oh no, what now?’ Or you see a letter about some absurd tabloid story… and this is one of them.” She added with a laugh, “I wasn’t angry,” before clarifying that the story was “absolutely false”. Reported by the Daily Mail.

“So, the truth about Jen and Barack is that there is no truth?” Kimmel asked.

“I met Obama once. I know Michelle better than I know him,” Aniston replied.

Kimmel jokingly followed up, “And is there any truth about you and Michelle?”

“That’s not true either,” the actress smiled.

Currently, Jennifer Aniston is not in any public relationships and has not been seen with anyone romantically in the last five years. Barack and Michelle Obama have been married for 33 years and share two daughters: Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23.

Earlier this month, the former president posted a heartfelt birthday tribute to Michelle: “Happy birthday to the love of my life, @MichelleObama. You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace. I’m so lucky to walk through life with you. Love you.” The message was accompanied by a photo of the couple holding hands during a dinner. Michelle shared the post on her account, captioning it, “Love you, babe!”

Following Michelle’s absence at Trump’s inauguration, fans of the couple expressed concern over a possible rift. Social media was flooded with comments such as, “Calling it now: the Obamas are divorcing,” “Obama’s divorce wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card, but it might happen,” “Michelle and Obama are splitting. They’re divorcing,” and “Looks like an Obama divorce is on the horizon.”

In Chicago, Barack and Michelle Obama married on October 3, 1992.
